Update
I don't really have any pictures, I know we need to take more. We are just doing the daily grind. Amber is loving her job and was asked to speak and present at an important conference this summer. That is a good thing but the bad thing is we are moving back to Lincoln, so she cannot do it. Well moving back isn't a bad thing, we are really looking forward to it. We love it down here but it just isn't home.
I am still working at the same place and going to school. School is going well, I have A's in all my classes still and hope to finish with that :). We are getting more and more involved with our church down here. We love the people we are meeting and love the message that the pastor speaks on each week. If you all want to listen or watch the sermons from our church go to... http://houstonsfirst.org/videos. We are talking about the end times and our pastor does a great job discussing it.
We have met some great people from our church that we like to hang out with. Most are probably from our bible study. I went to Mexico with our church for about 4 days to build a house for a family in need. It was a great time to serve and learn to be thankful for what you have. The house was 16 feet by 12 feet and to them that was a mansion. This was a rewarding experience for everyone on this trip and I recommend to everyone who reads this to serve God and one way is by helping His people. I will try to get some pictures up of that trip.
We will be moving back right around the beginning of June. We will be there for sure for my brother's wedding on the 6th. As for now we got some people coming down here for spring break this weekend. Peach, Eric, Josh, and Jeff are coming down here for spring break so I will try to get some pictures up after they come.
That's all for now. Sorry I'm bad at remembering to post something, I will try to get better.

Just an update.
Things are going great down here. Amber has started her new job as an 8th grade math teacher. Amber will be taking over some other teacher's classes so she won't have students until the 20th when first semester is over. I am back at work and have started back at school as well. I have a full schedule of online classes. Right now we are putting a hold on the house hunt. It will cost us about $4500 to break our lease so we will just chill right now. If we find something that we cannot live without, then we will have to see at that point in time. Thats really all for now but I hope to post more soon.

Graduation!!!!
Amber graduated on the 19th of December. She graduated with honors-magna cum laude. The other things she is wearing are from math honors society, mortar board honors society, Phi Kappa Phi, and the honors program. She was also the Math and History student of the year at UNK. Only one student gets that award! Lets just say I married up!

Hurricane Ike!
We made it! There is a lot of flooding and trees down. At the moment we cannot leave our apartment complex because of trees down. We have power but 2 million people are out of power and probably will be for the next couple days. We were told that 96% of the people do not have power, we are in that 4% that does. These were a few pictures of our apartment complex.

Something that inspires me.
Sometimes I go through life doing things on my own. I underestimate how big God is and what He can do. When I get like this I like to listen to some encouraging music and one song comes to mind. Its called Redeemer by Nicole Mullen. When I listen to her sing about God and His capabilities, it puts me back under His wing. I guess it helps a little that she has an amazing voice!
I will share some of the song with you.
Who taught the sun... where to stand in the morning
Who told the ocean... you can only come this far
And who showed the moon... where to hide 'til evening
Who's words alone can catch a falling star?
Well I know, my Redeemer lives
I know my Redeemer lives
All of creation testify
This life within me cries
I know my Redeemer lives.
The very same God, that spins things in orbit
He runs to the weary, the worn and the weak
And the same gentle hands that hold me when I'm broken
They conquered death to bring me victory.
This is just an awesome reminder of God's promise to love and take care of us who follow Him.
If you have not heard this song you need to!
These are a few pictures that we took in Thailand that show just a glimpse of what I'm talking about.

Church 8/24/08
Our pastor said something yesterday that has just been sticking with me. We were talking about keeping God first in our lives and taking Him everywhere. He is always there but sometimes we don't take Him. Our pastor told a story about him and a buddy going to this beautiful island and eating at this amazing restaurant, and it was all great but it was not the same. This environment was meant for him and his wife, not him and his college buddy.
This place was still beautiful but not as beautiful as it could be with his wife. If you don't take God along on your journey through life everything will not be as great as it should/could be.
Anyway, this is what our pastor said " In the land of milk and honey without God, the milk is sour and the honey is bitter"
I like that!
